Stress Reason (3) - How to prepare for the day the results are declared and you have to go for admissions.

Solution - There are three things that you need to be ready with and plan before the D Day. And this time till 1st Feb 2010 should be used for doing that.

a) Funds - Make sure that you have sufficient funds ready with you that would be needed for taking admission once the results are out. Some schools might take cash, some cheque or some bank drafts, so keep that too in mind.
Tip 1 - Check out the admission fee required in all the schools that you have applied to and keep the amount which is the maximum in the list ready with you. This will save you of last minute hassles.

Tip 2 - If you get through in one school but are also confident of getting through in the second list, do have the funds ready by then for another school too as it might take some time to get refund from the first school if you opt out.

The safe thing is to have the funds totaling top two amounts from the list of schools you have applied in.

b) Documents
Schools would need to see original copies of the documents at the time of admission that they have asked for when you submitted the forms.

They would also need attested copies of the documents for their records.

Make a file of all the documents and keep it ready in a safe place with you. Also, have sufficient number of attested copies ready with you in another file.

Tip - Go through the information given by each school in your list and make different sets of document files for each of the schools and name them so. This would save you a lot of hassle on the admission day.

c) Plan Your Work Schedules/Leaves

If you are in a job then this is the right time to tell your HR Manager and your superior about the Nursery Admission of your child and the time of results and admissions coming ahead.

This way you will not have any problems taking leaves, half days or coming late later on as per the need of the hour.

Make sure that you have no outstation visits etc being assigned to you as some schools might need you to be present when taking admission.

People in business also need to plan their schedules in advance and take care of the factors mentioned above.

Make sure both parents are present in the city and available during that time.
